The Exped Vela 1 tent is a lightweight model that’s made for solo backpacking and camping trips. The rainfly slides up and down the tent’s main pole for smooth, zipperless opening and closing. There is a large vestibule for storing your gear and although the tent is not freestanding, it’s designed for quick and easy setup - only two stakes to pitch it. You can pitch Vela 1 solo tent with the rainfly covering the mesh canopy, which will keep your tent dry during setup. The mesh canopy means the tent is well ventilated.
